2007 Parent and Camper

VIRTUAL ORIENTATION

Welcome to Junior Wildlife Stewards Camp 2007!  In order to prepare you for a successful and enjoyable camp this year please take a few moments to take a virtual orientation of our camp.  Meet your camp staff, check out our daily camp schedule, see what new wildlife classes we are offering this year, and watch a powerpoint show of our camp.

2007 Camp Schedule

Tuesday  July 31

10:00 am           Camper Check-In

11:30 am           Campers Unpack

12 noon             LUNCH

12:45 pm           Cabin Time

1:30 pm             Camp Tour

2:30 pm             Recreation

3:30 pm             Wildlife Tribes

5:30 pm             Dinner

6:15 pm             Prepare for Evening

7:00 pm            Leadership Teams       

7:30 pm             Field Games

8:00 pm             Flag Lowering

8:15 pm             Campfire

9:30 pm.            Prepare for Bed

10:00 pm           Lights Out

 

 

Wednesday, Thursday and Friday (August 1-3rd)

* CIT’s (Counselor In Training Program for 7th-8th graders)

** Campers will be assigned one of the three days to horse class.  Campers will take horse classes from 9:30-3:00 pm on their assigned day

 

 

7:00 am            Optional Morning Fishing

7:45 am             Rise and Shine

8:15 am              Flag Raising

8:30 am             Breakfast

9:15 am             Cabin Clean Up

10:15 am           Group Assembly

10:30 am           Wildlife Classes

                             * CIT Leadership Class

                      ** Horse Class (9:30 am-3:00 pm)

noon                    Lunch

12:45 am           Habitat Service Project

1:30 pm             Group Assembly

1:45 pm             Prepare for Recreation

2:00 pm            Recreation One

3:00 pm            Transition and Snack

3:30 pm            Recreation Two

4:30 pm            Group Assembly

4:45 pm            Quiet Time

                             CIT Horse class (Wed-Friday from 4:30-5:30)

5:30 pm            Dinner

6:15 pm            Prepare for Evening Program

7:00 pm           Leadership Teams and Field Games

8:00 pm            Flag Lowering

8:15 pm             Campfire

9:30 pm             Prepare for Bed

10:00pm           Lights Out


 Saturday, August 4th

7:45 am             Rise and Shine

8:15 am             Flag Raising

8:30 am             BREAKFAST

9:30 am             Pack and Clean Cabins

11:00 am           Prepare for Closing Program

12:00 noon      LUNCH

1:00 pm             Closing Program

2:00 pm             Camper Check-out

3:00 pm             Staff Depart

Wildlife Classes

Wildlife Classes are held from 10:30-noon on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday of camp.  Campers will take a different class each day.  The following classes will be offered at camp this year

Campers Grades 3-4

  • Forestry
  • Bugs
  • Horses

Campers Grades 5-6

  • Horses
  • Outdoor Survival
  • Fishing/Aquatic Studies
