ABOUT CAMP

Happy Campers
Happy Campers

The 4-H Junior Wildlife Stewards Camp is sponsored by OSU Extension 4-H.

The camp is open to boys and girls completing grades 3-8 in 2007. The camp is designed for youth who wish to explore the wonders of nature in an outdoor setting. The focus of the 4-H Junior Wildlife Stewards Camp is on wildlife, fishing, and learning about the environment. Previous experience or knowledge in these areas is not required - 4-H welcomes novices who want to learn and have fun in the process. You do not have to be a 4-H member to participate in camp.

Trained staff from OSU Extension 4-H will provide guidance in the basics of fishing and aquatic habitats, wildlife tracking, nature crafts, sunrise wildlife walks, bird watching, forestry, horseback riding, canoeing, evening campfire programs, and more. Campers will take on new responsibilities and learn new skills as members of the camp community. A special highlight for the entire camp community will be a hands-on wildlife restoration project.
