WHAT TO BRING TO 4-H CAMP

DON'T FORGET TO CLEARLY MARK WITH CHILD'S NAME ALL CLOTHING AND PERSONAL ITEMS WITH YOUR NAME, ADDRESS AND PHONE NUMBER!

SUGGESTED:

  • Warm sleeping bag or Sheets and blankets
  • Pillow
  • Toiletries (towel, washcloth, toothbrush/paste, soap, shampoo, comb, brush, chapstick, sunscreen)
  • Warm coat
  • 1-2 sweatshirts
  • 1-2 pair of long pants
  • 2-3 pair of shorts
  • 2-3 T-shirts
  • 2 pair of sturdy shoes (tennis shoes or boots)
  • Swimsuit
  • Underwear
  • Socks
  • Pair of pajamas (sweats work great!)
  • water bottle
  • Rain jacket or poncho
  • A plastic bag or small gym bag for carrying towels and suit to the swimming pool.

OPTIONAL:

  • Stuffed animal to sleep with
  • Letter writing materials (paper, pencil, envelopes, stamps, addresses)
  • Camera (the disposable ones work great!)
  • Bug repellant (non-aerosol)

DO NOT BRING:

  • Flashlights (trails are well lit)
  • Food and Candy
  • Anything valuable
  • Game Boys
  • Money
  • Knives
  • Radios

(Any of these items will be collected by camp staff and returned to campers at check out. NOTE: Camp staff are not responsible for lost or stolen articles).

LOST AND FOUND:

In the case of items lost, the Extension 4-H office will make every effort to locate the item, but will not be able to replace or reimburse the camper for the item. Unclaimed items will be disposed of after September 1st.

If your child has any physical disability that requires special considerations in order for him/her to attend 4-H Camp, please notify the 4-H Wildlife Stewards Office at 503-916-6075 by July 20, 2005.
