Fall Training and

Skills Share Conference

October 9-11, 2008

Location: Portland area


A perfect opportunity for beginners and experts alike, this 3-day event is designed for teachers, Wildlife Stewards volunteers, parents and community members who are looking for ways to create and use an outdoor habitat in a school setting.

Hotels and Lodging

  • Participants can choose to attend all three days of workshops, presentations, and classes, or one day of workshops only.
  • The trainings will include information about getting started, using native vegetation, maintenance of the program, working with volunteers & students, and tips for success.
  • The hands-on workshops will include many science how-to's, such as creating raingardens, building & monitoring nest boxes, planting edible gardens, and organizing native plant fundraisers.

  • ALL THREE DAYS $115 (our partially subsidized fees for those who can pay a little more but can't afford the actual cost)
  • ALL THREE DAYS $90 (our standard subsidized fee)
  • OCTOBER 10TH ONLY $50 (based on the actual cost including staff time, lunch, refreshments and printed materials)
